Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I am looking to add a one mesh compatible range extender to my network, I currently have a TP Link AX55 wifi 6 router.  I am trying to figure out what the major differences are between the RE705x and the RE715x.  The RE715X seems to be a bit thicker, but it seems specs wise they are similar.  I've also noticed the RE715X is about $30 cheaper (on sale) at a lot of online retailers.  Appreciate any assistance that can be provided.

  @jedmo,

Going through the specs, there are two other small differences between the models that you may have missed.  The RE715 uses slightly more power, and the RE705 currently has CE certification. Which may explain the difference in cost, as certifications usually add an additional cost to devices.

The RE715 is our newest RE, and will most likely have a longer life, and may have a few optimizations that the 705 does not have, however as they are both AX3000 and provide the same speeds, and wireless sensitivities(dBm), you would most likely have an identical experience between the two.
