AX5400 will not connect to 6ghz network
My AXE5400 Wi-Fi 6E card refuses to connect to my 6ghz Wifi 6E network. Using WPA3-Personal.
It'll connect to the 2.5ghz and the 5ghz network but not the 6ghz network, it only shows "No Internet".
The only issue I can see that might be causing the problem is that when I go to the wireless settings it shows that it's connecting using wpa2, which is not right.
I have the latest drivers. I've tried switching it manually to wpa3-Personal but all it does is attempt to connect for a minute or so, then say "No Internet", and the wireless settings bounce right back to WPA2.

Yes sorry about that I just remembered that 6GHz exclusively uses WPA3-Personal. But yes I have confirmed that Windows 10 does not support WiFi 6e/Wifi 7's 6GHz band. Microsoft confirmed that backported support will not happen. I am not exactly sure why but that is likely the cause if you are on Windows 10.

Does your router let you set 6GHz to WPA2/WPA3 mix mode? Are there any other WiFi 6 devices in your network that can or cannot connect?

Hi @Carl , Thanks for the reply. I am using an Asus RT-AXE7800. Only the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz networks support wpa2, the 6ghz network will only give me the options for WPA3-Personal or unsecured, unsecured doesn't work either.
I have no other 6e compatible devices to test unfortunately. Additionally, I updated the drivers for my AX5400 to the latest drivers and now it won't even detect the 6ghz network.
After some investigation, it appears as though Windows 10 itself won't allow for a WiFi 6E connection, is this true? I'd really rather not "upgrade" to windows 11, it's terrible :/

@Carl I see, I will attempt to downgrade to Windows 11 and see if that works. As much as I really don't want too. Thanks Carl!
