Add ax21 via easy mesh to Ax55 network?

Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: Latest

Hey all. Did quite a bit of reading before I jumped up to the AX55 pro as the main router in my home. I would like to extend the network using my old AX21 via easymesh. I been at it for a few hours without luck. AX55 came online with no issues. Downloaded latest firmware for both units. Factory reset the AX21 and followed instructions for one mesh. Tried who's method and manual addition via tplinkwifi.net.

WPS never picked up the AX21 and I can't discover the unit on tplink.wifi.net.

Any help or ideas to try?

thank you!

To be able to connect the two routers in mesh they both have to support Easymesh.

Despite this limitation there are successful attempts to connect Onemesh and Easymesh capable routers in mesh.

If one of these supports Onemesh (AX21), it should be used as a main router to be able to connect to the other one (AX55) in mesh, using the WPS method.

I.e. Archer AX21 (main router) <<wireless backhaul>> Archer AX55 (satellite router).

no luck here. I don't think the ax21 got the ezmesh support. Maybe there is a way to load firmware to support that, but I don't know how.

good luck, let me know if you find a solution!
