I've gone back DOWN to 1.1.4 for firmware trying to troubleshoot this thing. There have been many reddit threads on this, but this seems the better place to ask. I'm seeing reboots of the RE800 every 30 mins or so today. My main question now is is this normal on reboot in the logs:

why does it reset back to 1970 every time? This is the only anonmaly i can find as there are no advanced debugging logs that i have found, though i haven't tried to SSH in yet. 

I've turned off all wifi 7 tech and disabled smart connect just in case. It ran for 5 days solid when. moved down to 1.1.4 from 1.1.6 and then today its rebooted itself 5 times already. I'm at a loss.. thanks.

Ive just set Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting to 10G and also disabled Flow Controller RX/TX as noted in another thread i found with similiar but not exact issues. We'll see what that does.

  So i factory reset, went through all the things, have not turned on any wifi7 stuff, and now noticing the logs do seem to do this on boot, as now that i updated to latest firmware (right after factory reset) its moved to when the firmware was built:

so it appears at least the logs are legit. Will update again if it reboots on its own.

just rebooted again, newest firmware, nothing WIFI7 turned on.. how frustrating.. sigh

  @lolunix Stupid question but I'm guessing you don't have auto reboot set? Another cause might be if you're using the wrong power adaptor.

  @qazwsxedc16 no auto-reboot set.. it also rebooted 6 times total today. Power adapter is what came with the router from the box. I have only owned this thing for about 2 months. 

 

I'm running out of ideas lolol :D

May I confirm some information? Then we will escalate your case to the senior engineering team for further research.

1. Did you the issue always happen since you purchased it?

2. What is your ISP and exact network topology?

3. How many clients do you have? Are you using Samsung S24Ultra?

4. Although wifi7 is disabled, did you enable MLO network?

Hi Thanks! Answers inline below:

 

1. Did you the issue always happen since you purchased it?

It ran maybe a week or two with reboots that possibly I wasn't paying attention to before it really started doing it while i was working.. so, perhaps not Immediately but soon after. 

I got it around August 1st. 

 

2. What is your ISP and exact network topology?

Ezee Fiber 8G/8G: 

Modem connected from drop outside the window. From modem 6E cabling

From there i got to a 5 port TP-Link 10G switch. TP-Link TL-SX105

From the 10G switch I go to a Nokia D900 running in Bridged mode in the living room. and off to various other TP-link switches.

I have a Omada EAP773 on the patio for outside access. 

I have two Tp-Link RX500's TP-Link AX1500 WiFi Extender Internet Booster(RE500X) easymesh plugged in the house. Couple of other switches. 

I have two TP-Link EAP615-Wall hardwired as well.

 

3. How many clients do you have? Are you using Samsung S24Ultra?

With IoT network included there are about 40-50 clients connected at any time. 

No S24Ultra

 

4. Although wifi7 is disabled, did you enable MLO network?

No, disabled it along with the Wifi7 stuff.

Hi, thanks for your update~

It is a pity that you forgot to describle where and how you connect Archer BE800 in your network topolgy, which is very very necessary and important information for us to confirm.

My understanding about your network topology is ISP internet--modem--TL-SX105--okia D900(bridge mode, in living room), and other switches, and other other devices you mentioned but not sure how they connect exactly.

("--" stands for Ethernet connection)

So your BE800 is connected to modem directly? 

It could not be better if you can draw your network topology, which would be much clear.

At the same time, may I confirm the model number of your fiber modem?

BTW, it is normal that the log starts with 1970-01-01 after the router reboots.
