Hello Group--

New to the community! The drop-down menu above doesn't have my model, so here it is: TP-Link AV600 Powerline Ethernet Adapter

I have an existing TP-Link Powerline network in my home that works very nicely. I want to add the above adapter, BUT I want to know what will happen to my existing adapter connections if I hit the pair button on my router connected adapter in order to add an additional adapter? I don't want any disruption to my netowrk when I add another adapter. What's the best practice here?

Thanks,

Stephen

Q1.2: How do I add a new powerline adapter to an existing powerline network?

A: You can either press the pair buttons to add or use the Powerline Utility to add. For detailed instruction, please refer to [APP][Pair Button] or [tpPLC Utility].

Thank you for your reply. When I pair a new adapter to the main adapter (connected to the router) the other adapters lose their connection. How do I prevent this?

Maybe I should use the power line utility?

Use the utility then, but this should not happen in the first place. Follow this post for troubleshooting.
