we have just built a rental problem and want our network to work in the cabin (about 10m from the house-thick stone walls). We have run an ethernet cable from the main house to the cabin and there is a NETGEAR 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Managed Network Switch (GS305E) which it plugs into. the netgear switch is on and working as one of the ethernet ports is attached to our solar panels and works.
I plugged the RE700X in next to the netgear unit and ran an ethernet cable to the netgear switch. Although the power light is solid blue there is no wifi signal in the house. Is this the correct unit for what i want? if so, how do i make it work?
