For whatever reason, my wife and I have recently been having with the WiFi connection on our iPhones (an iPhone 14 and an iPhone 1 with the latest iOS updates installed).  On WiFi, the internet just seems to stop working and we have to toggle WiFi off to load anything.  This is only happening on our iPhones and not other devices on the WiFi. We started noticing this about a week ago. We think this a problem with our Archer AX21 Router, because the internet works fine on other devices and our phones work fine on other networks.

 

I had to toggle WiFi off to load this page.

 

We've rebooted our phones, rebooted the router, power cycled the router, reset network settings on our phones, forgotten the network.  But none of these seem to solve the issue.  Is there a known fix for this bug?

  @MikeK1710 Is this Hardware V3.6 or 3.0?  The second iPhone version # seems to be a typo?  Did you install iOS 26 yet?  (I just helped my wife do that on her work provided 13 and personal 16E last night)...

Thank you for responding! Yes, that was a typo.  The second iPhone is an iPhone 16.  Both are on iOS 18.7.1.  


I believe the router hardware version is 3.6 (written on the bottom of the device).

 

Would iOS 26 fix these issues?

  @MikeK1710 My wife came back from a 3 week trip out of the country and for some reason no longer received messages from our son iPhone 16 Pro and me OnePlus Open.  (Turned off cellular because on AT&T 20 dollars/day for international roaming for 12 days then free BUT that's a lot of money).  I checked and both her phones were still on 18 or whatever, I didn't bother to check.  But yes I am hopeful the new glass look is pretty darn nice as well...

Both 3.0 and 3.6 use the same firmware, and the latest for those is your current 1.2.1. The text message issue did resolve...
