AX1800 broadcasting different SSID than what is on the label
I recently purchased an AX1800 to connect to my T-Mobile internet. Everything seems to be working fine up to connecting to the router. On all of my devices in the Wi-Fi settings I see an SSID that matches the MAC address of the router. After entering the default password my device will connect with a warning there is no internet connection. However, when I use the Tether app it is trying to connect to the SSID that is on the label, which is NOT the same as what I see in my Wi-Fi settings. And of course,it cannot connect to the router. When I try to connect using the web browser, the page times out saying the server stopped responding.
I found an article here: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/512/ that sort of helped. The SSID I can see in my settings contains the last 4 digits of the MAC address. The SSID on the label is what shows up in the Tether app, which the app cannot connect to. Unfortunately I cannot find the imei number for this router to see if that password will work.
Can anyone help me find the imei for my router? Or provide any other suggestions to help me connect to this router? Thanks.
