I have the Deco BE95 system and was wanting to know if I could add a BE10000 Wi-Fi 7 Range Extender RE653BE to cover a specific area. Would I need to use the Tether app to add or what is the process to add if it is possible.

Thanks for reaching out! I understand that you want to know if you can add a TP-Link RE653BE Wi-Fi 7 Range Extender to your Deco Mesh system to extend coverage, and whether you need to use the Tether app for setup.

Please note that Deco Mesh systems, including your Deco BE95, are designed to work exclusively with other Deco units. Deco satellites connect only to the Deco Mesh network and are not compatible with other Wi-Fi networks or third-party range extenders. This means you cannot add a non-Deco range extender, such as the RE653BE, to your Deco Mesh system via Wi-Fi to expand coverage.

Additionally, Deco units cannot function as Wi-Fi Range Extenders or Repeaters for other networks. If you want to connect a Deco system to another router, it must be done via Ethernet, not Wi-Fi.

If you need to expand your Deco Mesh coverage, you should add additional Deco units using the Deco app. The Tether app is not used for Deco Mesh setup or management.

Key Points:
• Deco Mesh systems only work with Deco units.
• Third-party range extenders (including TP-Link RE653BE) cannot be added to Deco Mesh via Wi-Fi.
• Use the Deco app to add more Deco units for coverage expansion.
• Tether app is not compatible for managing Deco Mesh systems.

If you need instructions on adding more Deco units, please let me know!

Thank you for that information, since the addition must be a Deco unit can it be any Deco unit or do I have to stick with the BE95?
