TP-LINK replaced my original RE600X with another after the original simply stopped working and wouldn't boot up. (FWIW I shouldn't have had to pay return shipping to TP.)

So I have the new one installed and connect to my TP-LINK router. It shows up in Tether just fine as "working well". BUT, it seems like it's running hot. I'm concerned that this may have been what caused the original one to fail. I never noticed it before but I was going to plug an extension cord into the other outlet when I noticed the warmth. We're in an air conditioned house and the extender is positioned near the tile floor which is very cool most of the time.

Also, the primary reason for the extender is to bring a stronger signal to our sprinkler timer in the garage and our Wyze doorbell cam. No network change but neither of those units are connected.

Thoughts?
