Hello
I've had an Archer C7 router for about a year and it worked perfectly. Suddenly, it started having problems: the system light would go on, and I could no longer connect to it via wifi or ethernet. The only way to reconnect was to turn it off and and back on.
I contacted TP Link and got a replacement. I installed it, and in 3 days the same issue started happening. I have tried updating the firmware and resetting the router to factory settings, but the problem keeps happening.
When I connect my devices directly to the internet jack on the wall, it works perfectly. I also tried connecting an older router that I had (from another brand) and it worked for several days with no issues.
I have no idea what the problem might be, and would appreciate help solving this issue.
Thank you

Hi,
I just bought a new Dell XPS 13 - 9370, and have been having internet issues at home. The killer network adapter 1435 is fine when I connect on my work network, but at home, when I use the laptop for internet browsing/netflix streaming my internet connection will break until I reset the modem and router. I've spoken with comcast xfinity and they show everything working on their end. The internet only breaks connection when I've been using the new XPS 13 - 9370.
I see people having issues with the Archer C7 router and the Killer 1535 adapter. Should I install the same firmware suggested for the Archer C7 router? Thanks for any help you can give.
If you have one of the C7 Versions in the Solution YES ( don't mix country files) Canadian version works well for me ....it fixed other issues too , the latest Official CDN FW is Horrible... and two full versions behind the American on now....

What is the latest official version for the US v3? On the website it's from 2015, that doesn't make sense.

Unfortunately I was wrong about the C7 Beta 17 working well ----It works well if you don't have a Qualcomm QCA6174 chipset AC Wifi Adapter in any of your devices....
I just got a new laptop for work on Monday and there is bad packet loss etc and the router stalling out , or taking too long etc to download pages , so I have to reset it 2 or 3 times a day...

See post 143 as well , I found I had to also be using a newer Qualcomm Driver for it to work ,12.0.0.448 too, 12.0.0.295 didn't.

I don't think the beta is suitable for 841N, it seems every model has difference firmware

Only Europe Version 11 , email European Support and ask for a Beta Firmware if available, that is how I got the V18 Beta for Canada for my C7.

It seems you need to also run the newer versions of the QCA16X4A Drivers too, my laptop came with ones over a year old, I am having better luck with 12.0.0.488 available at the bottom of this page.
https://www.ath-drivers.eu/atheros-wireless-drivers.html
TP-Link also pointed me to this file for Qualcomm Drivers : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B10ggB4LU3CPQm90YnBaSFdHUTA/view?usp=sharing
I have also been Told by a TP -Link engineer that the FW 18 Betas also include this fix so it is better to use FW18 if one is available for your Country.
Every time when we develop a new firmware, it is based on the last version, so the V18 had fixed the QCA61x4 problem, too.
see this post for FW 18 Files:
