bad password?

Model :

Hardware Version :

Firmware Version :

ISP :

When I first got my 5400 router, I set up a username and password using the original admin account and password that was supplied to me in the box. I don't even know where that original username and password is now. I created another account called localadmin and a password. I have been using it for a while now. I just performed a firmware upgrade to the latest version. When I go to login, it is ONLY asking me for a password. When I use the localadmin password that I created when I first got the router, it says bad password?

Any idea why I am no longer getting asked for the login username and password? Anyway to recover the original password that came with the system?

Thanks

Scott

It's recommended to register and bind a TP-Link ID to the router via Tether APP.
And then login with the TP-Link ID and password.

So how do I go about doing that? Keep in mind that I can't login to the router.
