Archer C7 (AC1750) Slow Gigabit Port Speeds
Model : Archer C7
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version : 3.15.1 Build 160719 Rel.57530n
ISP : Charter
I have a Windows 10 Pro PC connected to the AC1750 and it shows the port speed at 1 Gbps. I have a Debian 8.7.1 server connected directly to the AC1750 and shows it shows the port speed at 1000 Mbps. When I attempt to transfer a 5 GB file, it takes about 5 minutes. I moved the Windows 10 PC and Debian 8.7.1 Server to a Gigabit TP-LINK switch and the 5 GB file takes about 30 seconds to copy. Both PC and server show the same connected speeds. When I watch the throughput on Windows 10, it shows that only 10% of the bandwidth is being used (100 Mbps). Does the AC1750 restrict bandwidth to 100 Mbps? I cannot find any settings for the Gigabit ports to force speed and duplex.
Originally, I was trying to copy 2.7T of data from Windows 10 to Debian and could not figure out why after a day and a half it was not done (I ended up canceling the job). After moving to the Gigabit switch, it took approximately 9 1/2 hours to copy and Windows 10 showed 100% bandwidth being utilized.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Jasen
