The latest firmware update changed the encryption type from AES to KLAP. This breaks any local home automation integrations. Is this an error or intentional? If intentional, WHY?

I can add this bulb to TP Link app but not the Kasa app. I'd like to add it to the Kasa app so I don't need to have 2 different apps to control my bulbs. Is this possible. I see on other online thread
