HS100 Fried Floor Lamp

I setup one of my smart plugs last night to work with a dimmable floor lamp. As soon as I turned it on, the light started flickering and then turned off. I tried to plug it directly into the outlet and the lamp no longer works. Both bulbs still work in other lamps. I can't think of any reason why these devices would not be compatible with each other. Does anyone have any ideas?
