Recently my ATT Uverse router restarted [I am assuming an update was made by ATT] and both of my HS100 Smart Plugs disconnected. I have tried multiple times to reconnect via iOS without success. The connection always fails at the last step. I have the same results with both devices. While looking at the network device list, but plugs are listed and marked as 'inactive'.

ATT recommends that both 2.4 and 5 Ghz betworks be named the otherwise it will disable the optimization feature and degrade overall performance. This was not a recent change, it has been this way for some time.

HS100 ver 1.1 IC: 8853A-HS100
iPhone 6s iOS 11.4
Kasa v 2.2.0 build 561

Router: Pace Plc Model 5268AC
Software version: 10.7.0.530220-att

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Does the wireless network name and password change?

If yes, you have to reset the plug and reconfigure it.

Or you can set the same wireless network name and password as before.

What's the state of the wifi LED after the last step fails? If it stops flashing the switch has connected properly (they can only connect to the 2.4GHz band). The problem will be the phone is connecting to the 5GHz band and the kasa app can't find the switch from there. You might find it'll work using remote access, or you'll have to force the phone to the 2.4GHz band to enable it. Perhaps rename the 5GHz SSID temporarily to finish the setup.

If the switch LED stays flashing amber, check the 2.4GHz settings - use G/N, and auto or 20MHz bandwidth. Sometimes trying it in a different outlet and unplugging the load can help - it could be a marginal wifi signal.

What ever the problem was has now been corrected. I followed alll the steps as I had been doing and they both connected.

Thanks to all for your assistance.
