The light switch's wifi network does not show up. The wifi symbol on the switches blinks slow amber as soon as it gets power and never changes. Pressing reset does nothing. I have successfully set up one way switches but the 3 way is consistently having this problem. I also have another set of TP Link 3 ways and they do the same thing. What gives?

Did you have any luck with this one? I have one three way switch installed working as expected. However the second seems to have the same problem as this.

I've also got the same problem.  Did anyone figure this out?

Thanks!

@trhoads

The wiring can cause the switch to act up. For example, crossing a traveler wire with a live or load wire.

@kilkenny  Try switching one end's "Traveler" to the other traveler connection then turn it on.  If one side is now blinking Amber/Green while the other is still amber then you might have a setup like this: (The good news is that you can set this up utilizing just one of the HS210 3-way switches)

@kilkenny Had this same condition. In my case the electrician used the white wire in the 12/3 bundle as a traveler to the remote switch. Solution was to leave the existing switch at the remote location (location without a true neutral white wire) and use the white wire in that bundle as one of the two travelers (which is how it was originally wired in my case). Works perfectly and I only had to use one smart switch for that circuit.
