How to turn off Wifi with Tether app?
How to turn off Wifi with Tether app?
I have my 1st TP-Link router and finished the setup on the Tether app. I want to do a simple task and can't find where I can do this. We always turn off our Wifi when we sleep, how can I quickly toggle it off (I want the router with ethernet to stay on)? EVEN BETTER... is there a way to schedule the Wifi to turn off and on at certain times each day?
Thanks,
Dan

Behind the router is a small button labeled WPS/Wi-Fi. Press and hold that for at least 2 seconds, that will disable the Wi-Fi, you can then repeat the same process to re-enable the Wi-Fi.
If you disable the Wi-Fi over the browser, manually trying to turn on the Wi-Fi will not work, you will need to connect a computer via Ethernet and re-enable both bands.
The wireless schedule that you found would be a convienant feature other then needing to go to the router and turning the Wi-Fi back on.

You will have a small button behind the router hold on it for 2 seconds. Repeat the same to re enable the Wifi.

I'd love to turn off WiFi through the app. I also turn off WiFi every night and some nights I'm laying in bed ready to sleep and don't want to get up to turn the WiFi off
I'd love to switch it off with the tether App

The wireless schedule is not available in Tether, you need to log into the router if that feature is available.
