Linksys Velop Mesh - HS105 plugs not staying connected
Hi - I have upgraded to the Velop Mesh wifi and now I can not get my HS105 pulgs to stay connected. I don't think it is a connection issue as we have no other issues in the house. I do have 6 or 7 plugs if this makes a difference.
Last night I reset and reconnected them. Only one asked to be updated so I am assuming they area all running the most up to date firmware. I also re-installed the app thinking this might be an issue.
Any suggestions?
Karen

@KLH3468 Thanks Kodi, BTW; I turned off the Steering Features and rebooted the IoT devices. So far so good, but I will need to give it 48 hours before I feel like it made a difference.

hello everyone on this thread. I have 30 smart plugs/lights/switches. These devices I purposely purchased 30% to be different devices, 10 apple home, 10 tp-link, and 10 amazon. I am also seeing the same issue as you all are and also notice that the child nodes themselves will drop offline. This ironically also started about the same time as most of you; 1-2 weeks ago. Been working fine prior for 2 years. I have 4 nodes in a 6000 sq ft home, 3 levels.
i think this is a Linksys issue but I am not finding any info on the web regarding this. I am going to unplug all child nodes, then perform a factory reset al my parent node, configure it, and then factory reset all child nodes and bring them back online through the app via the add a node option. I'll keep you posted on what I find.
cheers

@KBHMedia I have left the firmware at the latest and changed the passcodes to be different on each band, then reset and wiped the config from each of the TP Link devices and connecting each to the 2.4 antenna. It has now been running for a week. Smart Switches seem to be more reliable, the plugs a hit and miss. Note note totaly fixed, but much better.

FWIW - I too was having issues with 105 and 103 devices on the updated Velop firmware .. this is def a problem on the Linksys side .. I disable the steering client AND node .. rebooted router via admin client and reset ( hard power off ) of the satllite towers .. and so far it seems to be working .. .now to get Liinksys to fix their !@#$% firmware ;(
tplink firmare 103 > 1.5.7
105 > 1.5.6
linksys velop (WHW03v1) firmware - 1.1.11.197735

@Andyb_68 Same! I reverted back to the previous version and have not had any trouble since. I'm curious if Linksys will every address it so I can go back to auto-update. Yay technology!
