It looks like there is no ability to directly access the KC110 from a network and it is only accessable from the "cloud app". Is this correct?

 

If this is the case I will return the item immedietly as the security on it will not work for my needs.

You are correct in that the Kasa app is required.

 

I would recommend the Tapo C200 camera as that gives you flexiablity to access the video by other means: https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/2680/
