plug it in and immediately every light is on. Hard to believe that the power is on and it automatically connected to my network in a nanosecond. Reset button does nothing.
If it is an extender you just got, it should not do that as it does not know what network to connect to. Unplug it from the wall then plug it back in, wait a couple of minutes, then try to do the factory reset.
What is the model of the extender?
