Hi,

I will buy TP-LINK KC 100 SMART CAMERA.

My question is: Let's say it detects motion in a room. Will motion detection automatixaly start recording or will it send me a notification and I will then have to press record button?

Motion will automatically start recording, and save the video to the cloud when it is done. You can configure the Kasa app to get a notification or not, but you will look in the activity section of the app to view the clip or download it to your phone.
