HS100 daylight saving not working
HS100 daylight saving not working
Since the clocks changed, my two HS100's have not adjusted their internal clocks. Opening the Kasa app I forced the location sync but if I look at each device under DeviceInfo, the wrong time is shown.
Why can't these devices do this automatically?
How can I force a correction?
thanks

@MichielS if you are in a UTC+1 timezone try selecting UTC+1 Africa/Algiers as they don't observe daylight saving. That might do it...

Thanks for your post here Eric.
The Africa time zone workaround from Hiz actually works for me. Obviously it's only a workaround, not a solution, cause it will require changing the zone again manually next spring when DST starts again.
So go fix it Tp-link!

@HiZ Yes! Good tip, thanks. Algiers does it for me for now.

From the information I was able to get this will be resolved after November 1st. In the meantime, alternative solutions mentioned already are suggested if you are not able to wait that long.

I have the same situation. HW v1 with FW 1.2.6 doesn´t work, but HW v2 works fine.

Same here. Hs100, 1 2.6.
I've tried resetting and updating the timezone in the app, but it persists in being an hour ahead.
Hopefully someone will work out the issue and fix it

@MichielS I've set my devices to an African time for a while and then set them back to my own time zone. All's fine, so I guess they fixed it, or we ran out of the faulty time period.
