I added my KL430 to devices successfully, but I don't have the correct software to create effects

The ability to do different effects are found in the device settings when using the Kasa app:

 

 

As you are looking at the Kasa app, it will list your KL430, tap on the name, and on the next screen you will see the left screen above, from there tap on "Effects".
