I would think that it would adjust to the lighting. When fully daylight, why would it be on? When used with a schedule, it doesn't turn off at the appointed time.
The auto white is another term for circadian which adjusts the bulb's brightness and color temp changes dynamically. If you want the bulb to remain off, take it out of auto white mode.
