Hi.  I need to extend the range of my Wifi into a patio/garden area.  I can not figure out the difference between the RE 220 and the RE 230.  

 

Can somebody tell me what if any difference is between these two extenders.  (I am not a computer geek).  

 

I like the design of the RE220 but I understand that the RE230 is a newer model.

The RE230 was released as a OneMesh device out of the box, the RE220 required a firmware update to work with OneMesh.

 

As far as hardware the RE220 has three internal antennas, while the RE230 has two internal antennas.

 

Also, the RE230 consumes 8.5W while the RE220 consumes 6.5W.

 

With respect to using them in any general home network, they are very similar so I would probably search to see which one has a better price tag.

The TP-Link AC750 RE220 was one of the most popular Wi-Fi range extenders because of its low price and great performance. A newer version follows suit and changes the design language. how to get rid of incubus spirit
