High WiFi latency and stability difference between KL130 v1 and v2 hardware

Model: KL130
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.12

My first purchase of KL130 products were Hardware V1 when perform very well in my home network.  Several months later, I added two more KL130, but these were delivered as Hardware V2.  I've been experiencing huge latency differences, and unreliable connectivity with the Hardware V2 versions.

I setup a test with one lamp in a room with the V2 bulb.  From that location, I measured continuous ping times as:

64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=536 ttl=254 time=93.953 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=537 ttl=254 time=111.486 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=538 ttl=254 time=22.590 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=539 ttl=254 time=37.052 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=540 ttl=254 time=47.165 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=541 ttl=254 time=62.116 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=542 ttl=254 time=76.279 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=543 ttl=254 time=88.433 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=544 ttl=254 time=111.619 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=545 ttl=254 time=116.386 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=546 ttl=254 time=29.277 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.157: seq=547 ttl=254 time=51.188 ms

Notice there is a "wave" in the times from a low of 22 ms to a high of 116 ms -- this patttern continues to repeat.

Next, I removed the V2 bulb and installed a V1 bulb and performed the same ping test:

64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=574 ttl=63 time=5.353 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=575 ttl=63 time=1.895 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=576 ttl=63 time=1.815 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=577 ttl=63 time=1.774 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=578 ttl=63 time=1.850 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=579 ttl=63 time=1.974 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=580 ttl=63 time=1.841 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=581 ttl=63 time=1.760 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=582 ttl=63 time=1.941 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=583 ttl=63 time=2.405 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=584 ttl=63 time=1.830 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=585 ttl=63 time=1.859 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=586 ttl=63 time=3.521 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=587 ttl=63 time=1.804 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=588 ttl=63 time=3.273 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=589 ttl=63 time=2.084 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=590 ttl=63 time=1.889 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=591 ttl=63 time=1.980 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=592 ttl=63 time=1.761 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=593 ttl=63 time=1.831 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=594 ttl=63 time=1.735 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=595 ttl=63 time=1.979 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.99.156: seq=596 ttl=63 time=5.560 ms

There is a slight, and longer wavelength, "wave", but the latency is SIGNIFICANTLY lower.

Why is there such a difference between the two hardware versions?  The Hardware V2 bulb's WiFi connection also drops periodically every 24 hours.

Is this a known issue / difference, and are these any plans to investigate further and release a firmware update?

Honestly, same. I've reported another bug with the v2's but this is definitely something i noticed. The v1's are bulletproof.
