My partner has the Kasa bulb paired with the iPhone app, and when turning the light on and off, it fades in and out. Whereas mine, paired with the Android app, simply switches on and off, I like the fading on/off and wondered how to set that up, as I can't see an obvious option besides schedules? This is just for turning on/off in general that I'd like to find out how to do.

@Sklarlight I have a iphone and I do not have a option to fade outside of schedules

@B.Will Odd! Seems like by default for my girlfriend the light will fade in/out on powering the device on/off, which I much preferred to the device suddenly coming on or going off.

@Sklarlight Well I have not used the app to turn on/off a bulb in months.

I just tried one and if faded off and turned on instantly. Go figure
