I have two new KC420WS cameras and neither are providing alerts as expected. Both are up to date on firmware and have strong wifi connectivity.
One will send me alerts for any "person" detected, regardless of how I set the activity zone, per pictured below. I get a dozen of these a day if anyone walks by anywhere on the sidewalk. I've adjusted it further and further back from the street with no change.
The second has been configured to only alert on person detection, but sends me all motion alerts, even those tagged as motion not mislabeled as person.
I swapped all of my V3 Wyze cams with the latest KASA cams and have had pretty terrible results thus far.

I'm having exactly the same issue. Relentless phone notifications due to person detected on the other side of the road. It's hugely disappointing and extremely annoying.
Where is the logic of the detection outside of the activity zones. This is a major flaw that renders this camera completely useless.
