RE-ORDERING DEVICES
None of the contributors in the previous (closed) thread pointed out that adding a number before the label works fine if you have nine or fewer items. If you have 10 or more, you need to add an extra zero. Otherwise Kasa will list the numbers as follows 1,10, 11, 12, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. This is not a programming flaw. Rather, it's a function of the way numeric fields order themselves. To get the right order, number as follows: 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 ... good for up to 99 items, after which you have to add a second zero (001, 002, 003, etc.) Happy sorting.

Given that you are numbering this many items, I have a feeling that you may want to look for an update coming to your Kasa application over the next few days. The new app offers features to separate devices into rooms and to separate homes, Hopefully the new organizational tools will bring some order to the chaos for users with a lot of smart devices

Thanks for the information, this reminds me of how I used to have to name my files and folders on old windows systems. When the devices are configured like this, do the voice integrations such as Alexa and Google still work fluidly, or do you have to change the names of the devices in the alexa/google home app for the commands to be given without the number.
