Hey @Tapo-Energy-24,

From what I can tell, there is no way to extend the time of this feature. I think that this data is stored alongside the energy monitoring data on the plug, and the storage needed for the feature is much greater than that of the normal energy usage.

I have given feedback that it would be nice to extend the period of time shown; however, it may be a hardware limitation rather than a limitation of the app.

I would recommend creating a post in our feature request section: https://community.tp-link.com/us/smart-home/forum/2514

This way we can track and send other users to vote on your request.

  @Riley_S  is there a way to send alerts if the wattage falls below a threshold?  Like send a notification if the plug senses less than a user defined level?

  @Jamfh7,

Unfortunately no. If you have another third-party platform that supports Energy Monitoring, their platform may be able to see the energy values and create an automation from it.

Many of the latest Tapo Plugs include some extra features, with the most relevant being overcharge settings. If your device can be shut off when it reaches a certain minimum threshold, you can enable the overcharge protection. This allows you to set the minimum threshold, automatically turn off the device, and receive a notification that the action has been taken.
