I use the Deco app to open a port forwarding on my network to open Remote Desktop, log in, and then immediately disable it.

 

This makes it so I can connect whenever and wherever I want, but random bots trolling for open RDP ports can't find the opening.

 

Because there is no way to enable and disable a saved port forwarding in the app, I actually change the port number to an invalid port number or machine when not in use, but I would LOVE to see and ENABLE/DISABLE option on port forwards.

 

It makes a spectacular 2 factor security option for sensitive ports, like RDP.

  @oberon232,

Thanks for the feedback, I will add a request to the team to include a disable button or functionality for individual port forwarding. I can see how this would be extremely useful for increasing the security of your homes network.
