Model: HS300
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.12

We purchased a bunch of HS300 (HW 1.0 FW 1.0.21 and HW2.0 FW 1.0.12) for measuring different DUT in low power mode energy consumption.

Most of those reading are between 200mW to 500mW during power off mode.

Comparing HS300 result with power meter

power meter reading ~345mW, HS300 showed 100mW

power meter reading ~400mW, HS300 showed 110mW

power meter reading ~273mW, HW300 sowed 0

is this a known issue for HS300? or any thing I can set in HS300 to improve this with more accurate reading?

  @Sedney,

Abnormal readings from the power monitoring was supposedly fixed in the 1.0.11 firmware update for the device, which has applied the fixes to your device already.

Have you tried to reset the strip to factory defaults through a hard reset, not just a soft reset?

Most behaviors when it comes to energy monitoring are fixed by resetting the device, as this will reset any of the power statistics that are being used for caculations.

Is this the power meter at your house, or was this a power meter plugged directly into the outlet with the strip attached? If it was from the house, I would look at other ways of calculating the accuracy as there are many different sources of interference or power surges that would affect the power between the two.
