I was told that I could use the Kasa Spot without WiFi and record to the SD card. I am not sure how to do that. Is it possible?
Yes you can do this, but you will lose a large portion of the features and will need to connect the camera to the wi-fi to view recordings, or manually remove the SD Card. Either way, you would need to first set the camera up on your Wi-Fi and configure the SD Card and 24/7 Recordings, the camera SHOULD then continue recording when an internet connection is lost.
If possible we would recommend trying to at least keep the device connected to the Wi-Fi(even with no internet) so that you may access the settings of the Kasa Camera and make adjustments.
It is worth noting that without an active connection, many of the AI detection events will not work - so you will need to rely on 24/7 recording.
