Hardware Version: V5

Firmware Version: 1.0.8Th

The Kasa app identifies a firmware update for my smart plugs HS103. But everytime I attempt to install the update it only downloads 2% of the update and then fails.

How should I proceed?

Which version are you trying to update? Please ensure your device can be controlled remotely (indicating stable connection with cloud server).

Try to restart the plug by replugging it, wait until it reconnects then perform the update in the local network (connect your mobile device to the same WiFi network as the plug).

Disable VPN if any, as well as the cellular data.
