Are there any plans to enable / allow the Tapo camera video streams play directly within the Google Home app rather than having to "cast" it to a Chromecast enabled device? 

 

My Arlo cameras show their feeds on a tile directly in the Google Home app. So its not just Google cameras.

 

This would be a huge improvement in functionality.

Thanks for the suggestion! 

 

I was not aware that the Google Home app has opened up the app for camera live views - maybe it was added in the redesigned preview?

Either way,  I will definitely make sure to forward the request to our team for consideration.

I can't comment on when Google may have opened it up, but when I was evaluating cameras, I almost kept the Arlo cameras because they showed live views in the main Google Home interface, making it easy to quickly glance at the cameras when you were looking at the rest of your smart home devices.
