Bought one of the new outdoor cameras to try and planning on getting 6-7 more. Please tell me there is a better option for the wiring that a bulky USB plug. Had to install a new outlet to make it work and will have to do the same everywhere else to make this work. It's an old home and not set up with outlets everywhere but running electricity is relatively easy.
Ideas?
What other type of options are you looking for? I have seen some other brand cameras have solar panel options but I don't think that is an option for Kasa since they do not have a battery. A hard wired connection is your own option. You possibly run extension cords in your attic to get to the location where you need the power, but I wouldn't recommend it.
