Model: Tapo C110
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.11

I have 3 Tapo camera models currently more to be added as they are at the right price point and largely satisfy my needs.

C110, C120 and C210

In my network client list, The C110 and C210 show as client name ' Unknown '  The C120 shows up as ' C120 '

In the Tapo app they all have different names assigned to them.

Why is is that in my physicak network under client list only one type of camera shows what it is by Client Name?

Why is it that none of them show up as the name assigned in the APP?

I am used to when you change a device name at a device, it changes the name in the network under Client Name.

Is there some reason none of this is happening?

It just makes it a pain to have to open the app, look up IP and MAC address to figure out where it is on my network and how to access it other then the app.

Ideally the name assigned in the app should be registered on the network DNS to make identification easy so that it could be pinged ot traced.

For now all I can do is manually assign IP addresses to the devices and keep a written list of what is where.

Imagine how easy things could be if you could just go to rtsp://Pool_Cam/stream1 instead of having to know the IP address.
