Model: Tapo D225
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.16

When I view live or playback video through doorbell, the video shows in a circle aspect not 16x9 or even 4x3. This can't be right. Cell phones and even previous doorbell I had by Ring show in one of those formats not a round looking video.

Can someone who owns one if this is normal? I have opened a support ticket and first level support is out of ideas.

I assume there is a issue with this camera, unless someone here can say this image view is normal.

  @Mklaz,

That camera view is expected and a result of the lens on the camera. That model has a fisheye lens so that it can have an extremely wide field of view and have better views of the ground below -  without having to use multiple cameras on the device.

I have one of these but I run it in battery mode and am not postive on its feature sets when wired with constant power.

If you do have it wired, go into either your Advanced or Display settings for the camera and turn on Image Distortion Correction - which would unfold the camera image into what you were expecting. Just know that the feature is limited and is not available on Battery doorbells, and I am not absolutely positive it becomes available when the model is wired.
