C520WS cameras stuck in boot loop
Trying to upgrade 15 year old cameras to Tapo C530WS. There were 3 old cameras that were wired from a central panel in a closet. There was a 12v/0.6a adapter connected to a 4-way splitter which runs via wire to 3 corners of the house exterior (one of the wires was unused). Connecting the 9v/0.85a adapter that comes with the new cameras to the existing wires makes the cameras turn on but all of them seem to get stuck in various boot loops (series of repeated spins and clicks, and won't connect to the network or app). So I upgraded the adapter to 9v/3a but the same thing happens. I've tried every permutation I can think of. The cameras all work when connected directly to the adapter, which makes me think the older wiring may be the problem. Maybe it can't carry enough current? Not sure what gauge it is but it is VERY thin, certainly smaller than 18 gauge. The connectors are all 5.5 mm barrel connectors. Do I need to rerun bigger wire everywhere?
