Just installed the D225 and have an existing bell.

Old unit, button at door and mechanical bell worked fine before, I just wanted the security camera.

The instructions say to use a jumper on the old bell. I did and I believe that renders it usesless as it no longer chimes. How could it if it has a jumper?

I know the D225 came with a chime, I was just hoping to put that somewhere else and continue using the old bell too.
