Does anyone know if the C402 is going to be able to use face recognition so it will not alert me for known people? its frustrating to get alerted every time I walk in my door.
My understanding is that most cameras are going to be updated with future firmware updates?
Or maybe it already has it and I just don't know how to use it :)
The facial recognition features are only available on a few select cameras that released in the last few weeks. For other existing cameras, the facial recognition features can only be used by connecting the cameras to an H500 Smart Hub, which has the additional storage and processing power to handle that type of detection. The update for cameras you heard of is the update that makes the devices compatible with the H500.
What you are looking for is posssible, however it is not as much a filter for person detections, as it is a completely seperate detection type. It is possible to set the facial recongtion feature to only notify you of stranger activity though.
