Hello, my D225 is hardwired using existing chime with 16v30va transformer sometimes switches to battery for a few seconds and goes back to hardwired mode occasionally. No rain or blackouts here too. Is this normal?

  @QbaLL

Have you noticed the doorbell's battery level? Any sign of significant drops?

Please test the voltage value across the two terminals of the doorbell with a multimeter, check whether the value is within the normal range. Also, disconnect the doorbell's wiring from the transformer and check the voltage reading when the doorbell is not connected.

Can you share the model of your transformer?
