Dear TP-Link Team,

I am currently in the process of upgrading all 30 smart light bulbs in my home to L535E smart bulbs to ensure that all my devices operate locally. In the past two weeks, I have successfully replaced six of these bulbs. While the physical process of replacing a bulb is straightforward, the challenge arises from reconfiguring routines and scenes when switching to a new bulb.

I would like to propose an enhancement to the TAPO app that could greatly streamline this process. Specifically, I suggest adding an option called "Replace Current Product" within the device addition menu. This feature would allow users to install new TP-Link products without having to manually adjust the existing Alexa routines or SmartThings scenes.

The functionality could be implemented as follows:

1. From the Home tab, users would tap the plus sign in the top right corner of the app.

2. They would then be presented with three options: "Add Device," "Add Group," and the new option "Replace Current Product."

3. Upon selecting "Replace Current Product," the app would prompt the user to indicate whether they are replacing a KASA or TAPO product. For instance, while installing TAPO smart bulbs, I would select TAPO.

4. The app would then display a list of all TAPO products, allowing the user to choose "Light" since I am replacing a smart bulb.

5. Next, the app would request the specific model to install, followed by a current list of installed lights, where the user can select the bulb, they wish to replace (e.g., T1).

6. At this stage, the app would reserve the original name (T1) and rename the old bulb to "Old-T1."

7. The app would then proceed to install the new bulb, assigning it the reserved name (T1).

8. Once the new bulb is successfully installed and updated, the app would prompt the user to confirm whether they would like to remove the old bulb (Old-T1) from the application.

Implementing this feature could significantly save time and reduce frustration for the millions of users interacting with your products.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. I look forward to your response.
