Firmware Version: Version 3.14.105

Hello,

I don't even know why the Tapo C660 is not an option to choose in the drop down Model number field above- I had to select a Model so chose C100.   But my question specifically pertains to this model since I've purchased 2 of them recently new and would like to know why the Patrol time on station option MINIMUM is 1 HOUR.  I've looked online at written literature and also videos of other models allowing Patrol time on station options of MINUTES, which is what makes sense and what I'd like to be able to do with my C660's.

Patrolling with the cam's versatility being able to Pan & Tilt is WHY I purchased this... why would anyone want to be on station for a 1 HOUR time period while not sensing what is going on in the other areas of the field of coverage?  This just doesn't make sense.  Is there some firmware update that needs to be written?  I'm up to date according to the Tapo App.

Also... last question, is there a Tapo App for the Apple iMac computer too?  How to view the cam on my home computer?

Thanks

Doug

The difference in this feature is due to the different power sources of the devices. The Tapo C660 is powered by battery, and energy efficiency is a key consideration in its design. Otherwise, the camera would quickly drain its battery and struggle to run for long periods. On the other hand, the Pan&Tilt cameras that AC powers don't have these limitations.

You can raise a Feature Request for it, though. Our product team will review the feature requests regularly, and hot topics with detailed background information (e.g., use scenarios, reasons why you want or don't want a particular feature, etc) will be prioritized for evaluation.
