Model: Tapo H500
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I know it has been asked before and the answer was there isn't one, and suggested the user use RTSP to view.  That wasn't the issue.  HDMI would work for that.  I want to be able to copy from the hub to the computer, or at least be able to use the scrub/search bar without having to pinch a touch screen phone screen.  Viewing motion events is fine, but trying to find a particular time on the search bar when you are recoding full time is impossible and frustrating on a phone. This shouldn't be too hard. Just give us a port and a web GUI. I gave the product a 5 star review on Amazon because it is a good product, but it could be so much better with a web interface.

@NJBillT I agree. since it works best with a wired lan connection to router, it should have an easy firmware update for a web GUI on lcal network. As far as HDMI connection, since mine is stashed with the router in my com comprtment in the wall, I ordered  wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver for viewing on a monitor or tv otherwise the HDMI would be useless.

@Steve_Lockwood I worked it out, sort of.  My router is next to my Roku TV, where the H500 is, so I can view the cams there.  But I have to intiate the streaming from the phone app, not convenient. I don't see why they can't put a simple web server in that thing so we can view it anywhere

@NJBillT 15 years ago there were wireless security cameras that had a web interface for control and monitoring. Seems lime some tech is devolving. There is a free windows app called Ispy that can stream and pan your tappo cameras. I just installed it and crated a camera account on a tes camera to play with it. seems to work good once you figure out how to connect the camera. the ip for camera is found inn device info on top when you are in  camera settings.
