Dollars and cents
So, this lil smart plug can count how much powed has passed though it and the app can multiply that times a kilowatt per hour rate that the user a electricity cost per day/month to run whatever is attached to that plug.
In the app you can only enter the kilowatt per hour rate as dollars and cents. The problem is that the price of electriclty in my area is charged in cents ( 11.03 cents wintertime rate ). not dollars and cents. I can enter 11 cents but there is no way to enter 11.03 cents or .1103 dollars. I don't know if anyone who is paying 1-99 dollars per kilowattt hour ( Ok, maybe in California ) :) The number should be inputted as cents.
It's trivial but the device impies that it is accurate enough to measure fractions of a kilowat hour, the app should be able to multiply that times the accurate electricty rate to give the user an accurate cost.
Oh.. and while I am here.. What's the deal with this editor. No spell check?? But if you copy your text out to spell check it you can't paste your text back to the message body? Lame..
Also, it seems that using the Dollar symbol ( you know, the one above the 4? ) is against the "community" rules. You know, if you want people to report bugs you need to give them the abiltiy to decribe the bug.. right?

Thanks. it's hard to convey without the dollar symbol. The idea that in order to accurately track the cost of electricity, as it stands in the app now the user has to enter the cost of electricity as $0.1103 per KWH. But the program will only allow 2 decimal places.. ie $0.11
So the program needs to allow a cost in dollars expressed up to 4 decimal places..$0.1103 or in cents expressed to 2 decimal places ie. ¢11.03

You can raise a feature request post for it. Our product team will review the feature requests regularly, hot topics with detailed background information (e.g., use scenarios, reasons why you want or don't want a particular feature, etc) will be prioritized for evaluation. Tapo - Feature Requests

It seems to be a problem with the app. The app gets a amount of electricity that has passed though the outlet from the outlet then multiplies that times the kilowatt per hour charge as entered in the app by the user and displays the total cost of electricity consumed.

This is not a feature.. This is a bug..
Do you know of any residential electrictiy provider that bills kw/h in dollars and cents? In other words, a residental electricity provider that charges (dollar symbol)1.01 or more per kw/h? If the cost is less than (dollar symbol)1 per kw/h then it must be expressed in cents.
Allow me to provide further exampes from utilities in Arizona
Arizona Public Service ¢15.21 That is NOT fifteen dollars and 21 cents. That is fifteen point two one cents.. per kw/h
Salt river project ¢15.27
Tucson Electic Power ¢15.59
Mohave electric co-op ¢12.96
Navopache electric co-op ¢13.40
PS, I had to spell out dollar symbol because of this warning " The following sensitive language has been used which goes against the rules of the Community: "(dollar symbol ) 1.01","(dollar symbol)1". Please enter again. Why is just the dollar symbol against the rules of the community?
