Tapo automation includes an IF condition feature, which allows you to check the current status of a sensor. An automation requires a trigger to run. In your case, you can use another Tapo device as the trigger by monitoring a change in its status. Once triggered, the automation will check the IF condition > if it matches > then execute the set action, such as sending a notification. 

If you have an extra Tapo device available, that would be ideal. If not, you can also use a device whose state rarely changes. For example, sending an “turn on” command to a plug or bulb that is already on is still considered a valid trigger and will run the associated automation. You can set it up like this: “When Plug A is turned on, if T110 is open, then send a notification.”
