RV30 Max Plus suddenly won't clean 1 room, defaults to clean whole house

The unit was working well before today. Today I told it to vacuum 1 room and it started cleaning the whole house. I stopped it and told it to return to dock. It did not return to dock. I picked it up and put it on the dock.
I turned it off. I turned it on. I tried again - it would not clean 1 room, it started cleaning the whole house again.
I did a soft reset of the vacuum. I restarted my phone. I confirmed the vacuum firmware is up to date. I confirmed my app is up to date.
I can see the vacuum in the app. The vacuum is connected to my home wifi with a strong signal. I can start and stop the vacuum with the app on my phone. But it will not clean the room I choose - it keeps defaulting to clean the whole house. And it will not return to dock when I press that button in the app.
I have never had any problems with this vacuum. It always works well. I have had this vacuum since April 2025 - it is still under warranty.
What can I do? I've tried everything I can think of. Why will it no longer follow instructions? I thought of uninstalling the app but I don't want to start all over with creating the house map again unless that's the only solution.
Please advise.
