Model: Kasa HS220  
Hardware Version: V8
Firmware Version: Unkown

The switch has worked great for about 18 mos and this morning it just stopped working. No LED light (blue, green or orange). It runs exterior garage lights with a 12W LED bulb.

 

Tried reset and restart without any results. Any thoughts?

A comparative test can help pinpoint the issue.

1. Test the switch elsewhere: Install the same switch in a different electrical box and check whether it powers on successfully.
2. Test another switch in the same location: Install a standard (non-smart) switch, or another HS220 if available, in the original box and verify whether it operates normally.


If the problem occurs with a specific switch regardless of location, it’s likely a hardware issue. If multiple switches fail in the same electrical box, you should check the wiring or electrical conditions in that location.
